ITEC truly embodies inclusion and unity in a region where that is very rare, and very different from where we live. We hope to not only raise much-needed funds, but let people know about about ITEC”

— Dani Blank, ITEC 5K, Co-Founder

ATLANTA, GA, UNITED STATES, September 20, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — There is nothing more empowering than helping others. That is what Atlanta area teens, Dani Blank and Emily Miller have set out to do by organizing a 5K Run to support the children at the Israel Tennis & Education Centers, planned for Sunday, September 29th at Newtown Park in Johns Creek, Georgia.

It was Dani who introduced the organization to her friend Emily. Dani has a life-long connection, inspired by her grandparents and parents. They involved her, from a young age, with this unique program in Israel that helps vulnerable children, of all faiths, many living on or below the poverty level, by educating and empowering them through academic enrichment and sports. This exposure taught her to “really fall in love with the Centers (ITEC) and what they do,” states Blank.

The Israel Tennis & Education Centers (ITEC) was founded in 1976 and over the last 43 years it has grown and evolved into one of the largest social service agencies for children in Israel. ITEC has transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of children with the goal of igniting hope and opening pathways to a successful future for them and for Israel, now and for generations to come.

Ms. Blank has experienced the work of this remarkable organization first-hand and has gotten to know many of the youth involved in it – developing friendships with people her own age that live in very different circumstances than her own.

“The ITEC truly embodies inclusion and unity in a region where that is very rare – and very different from how I live,” states Blank. Dani and Emily are big supporters of Israel and wanted to do something that they could relate to, as they are both Track and Cross Country (running) student athletes at Johns Creek High School in Alpharetta, GA.

“We hope to not only raise some much-needed funds for ITEC, but what we really want is to let more people know about what they do.” What they love most about the ITEC is that they are able to “combine providing important things to children who need them, you know, the skills that you need in life, with sports. Also, they give them an education, a family – and the sport (tennis) is at very high level,” states Blank.

The ITEC 5K will take place on Sunday, September 29th, beginning at 10:30AM at Newtown Park in Johns Creek, Georgia. For more information on how you can participate or to get involved, please go to www.Israel5K.com.

###
About the Israel Tennis & Education Centers Foundation:
The Israel Tennis & Education Centers Foundation (ITC) is 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization that works tirelessly through the mediums of education and sport to enhance the development of Israeli youth. Since opening its first center in Ramat Hasharon in 1976, the ITEC has helped over 500,000 children, many of whom come from outlying and underserved towns throughout Israel. The 14 Israel Tennis & Education Centers stretch from Kiryat Shmona on the Lebanese border in the North to Beer Sheva bordering the Negev Desert in the South. www.ITECenters.org

ITEC has created a model of ethnic integration through sports in a safe environment where each and every child is afforded the opportunity to play, dream, learn and make friends within a peaceful community. Many see the centers within their communities as a stable, nurturing “second home” that supports them as they develop into productive, healthy, well-rounded adults, with thousands receiving scholarships to university and employment opportunities, as a result of their participation.

Its impact extends far beyond the children that participate in the programs, making an immeasurable positive impact on the country, the communities surrounding each center, the teachers, coaches and families of the over half a million children that have benefited from ITEC.

The organization is focused on the core values of education, equality, empowerment and well-being. Through its social impact programs, a wide range of children are served, including youth at risk, immigrants from Ethiopian and Russia and children with special needs, from autism and ADHD to Down Syndrome as well as those with developmental and physical disabilities.

The goal of Israel Tennis & Education Centers is to ensure that every child in Israel is healthy, educated, equal and equipped to pursue their dreams, without religious, economic or social barriers, and has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Non-Partisan Peace March Marks Dominica’s Support for International Peace Law

Hundreds to students march throughout the streets of Dominica for peace.

Student’s poster that cries out for peace and unity.

Hundreds of Children Cry out for Peace

WASHINGTON D.C., UNITED STATES, September 20, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Two years after the devastation of Hurricane Maria, more than 1500 young people braved the Dominican heat to demonstrate their hearts for peace.

The event began at the Bay Front and ended at the National stadium. Passersby witnessed the vibrant energy of the crowd and the joyful hand-made peace-themed posters and tshirts; balloons, and Dominica flags. In solidarity with the youth, Minister of Youth Justina Riviere, Minister of Education Mr. Petter Saint Jean and President of the National Youth Council Paul Baron all gave impassioned speeches about how youth can be catalysts for positive social change.

President of the National Youth Council, Paul Baron stated "As young persons, you are a very important part of the peace process in any country!” He continued to say, “It is important to understand that even though you are relatively young, that you too have and can play a major role in ensuring peace primarily in your communities."

To commemorate the event, the Minister of Education Hon. Petter Saint Jean signed a Memorandum of Agreement to support international peace law, the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW). Once ratified this law will spread a culture of peace throughout all of Dominica.

"True peace can be achieved only if you start that initiative in your own environment, within your own space, at home and within your community,” said Mr. Saint Jean.

The DPCW is a legal framework for spreading a culture of peace on a local, national, and international level. The goal is to eventually get this law passed Nationally, then at CARICOM and eventually the United Nations. The DPCW, which serves as the solution for worldwide peace and conflict resolution, has already been enacted as a National Declaration in several countries around the world; including Antigua and Barbuda, Seychelles and eSwatini, and international organizations such as the Central American Parliament.

The event was hosted by the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG). IPYG’s vision is to unite youth from around the world in one purpose. That purpose is to teach youth how to protect themselves from societal threats and to cultivate a culture of peace within their communities. The youth of IPYG accomplish this purpose through youth advocacy, youth empowerment and peaceful campaigns like Peace Walks.

“Today, we celebrate Dominica as a peaceful zone. The walk was a powerful and inspiring opportunity to engage children and youth in this initiative. Their efforts cannot go in vain," exclaimed an IYPG Volunteer. “Ultimately, the DPCW is the answer to sustainable peace.”

Belize will host a similar peace walk on Saturday, September 21st.

Nurse Sharon Baker to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

DENVER, COLORADO, UNITED STATES, September 20, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — The pioneering nurse Florence Nightingale once said, “For the sick it is important to have the best.”

For 41 years, nurse Sharon Baker has lived by the words of her hero.

“I was in and out of hospitals when I was young, and I admired the nurses who took care of me,” recalls Baker. “In grade school, l I learned about Florence Nightingale and she has been my hero ever since. I even wrote my thesis on her. For Florence Nightingale, everything was based on the patients. She was the one who said open up the windows and let fresh air in, let's make sure people are clean, the basics of being healthy that we probably all take for granted now.”

Today, Baker is a nurse executive at National Jewish Health, a community hospital and academic research center, where she manages an in-patient unit, as well as three infusion units, including oncology.

Baker makes sure all her nurses are cross-trained so they're the experts in their various areas.

“For me it's always about the patient. we're here to take care of them. They might be cranky, but if I had what they had, I'd be cranky, too,” says Baker. “You have to have the passion for nursing,” says Baker. “The key to my success is passion. Passion affects everything I do.”

Of course, says Baker, the dynamics of nursing have changed over time. Today’s nurses aren’t taught the basics anymore.

“For newcomers entering the field, nursing is very hard right now,” says Baker. “I do see people going into nursing, not because they want to be a nurse but because they feel like it's a steady job, they'll have an income.”

As more and more hospitals are driven by data, the human connection necessary for healing has become marginalized. Dr. Baker says she would like to see healthcare take advantage of the experience of older nurses in the future.

“What can we do differently in nursing that we haven't done?” says Dr. Baker. “Let's show a better way to do it.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Sharon Baker in an interview with Jim Masters on September 24th at 11am EDT.

Author and Poet Maxine Chernoff to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

MILL VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, September 20, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — To write something of value, a writer must make the familiar unfamiliar and the unfamiliar familiar. A good novel or poem doesn't tell you what you expect to hear, but gives you new insights, new emotional angles, expressed in a way that is original or useful.

Maxine Chernoff is an acclaimed novelist and poet, and former chair of the creative writing program at San Francisco State University.

“Poetry memorializes and celebrates the impermanence of life and it’s the role of the poet to find language that can encapsulate that truth,” says Chernoff.

A writer for over 40 years, Chernoff started composing poetry in her late teens and early 20s, around the time of the Vietnam War.

“The events in our culture have always interested me,” says Chernoff, “as well as the personal insights you can discover from just the experience of being alive in contemporary culture, personally and particularly as a woman.”

Chernoff has published three fiction novels (A Boy in Winter, American Heaven and Plain Grief) three selections of short stories (Some of Her Friends That Year: New & Selected Stories, Signs of Devotion and Bop) and 15 volumes of poetry.

She says because she started in poetry, she has the ability to be concise and precise and visual, and those skills have carried over into her fiction.

“What I have to do is create more of a sense of a character's fullness and their relationship with other characters, which you don't have to worry about in a poem,” says Chernoff. “When I'm writing novels, the characters in my mind are like a second family. I live with the characters and get to know them. Some of them are problem children. You just never know where a story is going, just as you don't know really where a relationship is going. There is this empty future, and you fill it with things you don't always expect to happen, even if you're the person creating the characters.”

Before you can strike out on your own as a writer, you need to know what's come before you, what we've learned from those great writers, and how we can reshape it in a way that suits our moment and our particular voice. As a professor of creative writing at San Francisco State for over 20 years, Chernoff is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of talented artists.

“It's about creating a community of really smart readers to help them refine their own distinctive way of approaching writing,” says Chernoff. “Writing is a visual medium. It uses words to evoke images, so the more specific you can be with your images, the better your writing will be.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Maxine Chernoff in an interview with Jim Masters on September 24th at 12pm EDT

Holistic Health Expert Vicki Graham to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

MOODUS, CONNECTICUT, UNITED STATES, September 20, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Are you concerned you will never be healthy again? The good news is you already have the answers. Meeting your inner physician will help you to unveil the solutions to actively participate your own healing and bring your body back into balance.

For over 45 years holistic health practitioner Vicki Graham has helped thousands of people to heal, including herself.

Graham is the author of I Can Breathe Again: My Inner Physician Has Revealed the Secret to Heal Myself, which offers readers a seven-step process of identifying what their issue really is and what to do about it.

“What people refer to as "source energy” or "innate intelligence,” I call the "inner physician,” says Graham. “Whether someone’s challenge is physical, emotional or spiritual, my work is teaching people to trust their gut, to know that they don't have to go outside of themselves to be healed, that their answers are coming already from within, they just need to learn how to tap into them.”

A pioneer in the field of natural health, Graham is the founder of Harmony Health Center, where she combines tools like vibrational medicine, muscle testing and other holistic alternative therapies that are affective for lasting recovery.

“I think of myself more as the sage on the side,” says Graham. “I'm really trying to teach people self-responsibility, so that they can take control of their own healing process.”

According to Graham, your health condition is only a symptom, not the problem. What’s needed is to get to the root of the issue.

“When I have somebody first come in to visit, I'm looking at the whole person rather than looking at their symptoms as the problem,” says Graham. “I use muscle testing to tap into the inner physician, a tool to build confidence in developing a trust between your conscious brain and your subconscious all-knowing intelligence, to find the answers for your own healing.”

Graham says all her work is based around the "triangle of health—biochemical, nutritional, and emotional and spiritual—to determine what side of that triangle has gone out of frequency with their coherent alignment.

“It really comes down to the fundamentals,” says Graham. “My hope is that they learn they aren't helpless or powerless, and there are so many other ways to take care of your own health besides being dependent on drugs or what doctors are dictating to you. I'm hoping more people will come to appreciate their inner voice. We all need to learn the tools and resources to be able to help ourselves, but the answers come from within.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Vicki Graham an interview with Jim Masters on September 24th at 2pm EDT

Anthony "Amp" Elmore "The Black Buddhist Voice in the World

Anthony Amp Elmore World most prolific Black Buddhist Lecturer has uploaded over 600 You Tube Videos. Has published more on Black Buddhist History than anyone in the world.

Black Buddhist Priest Myokei Shonin and Brother on the path used Sonam Yeshe to commit Fraud

Facebook Group Black Buddhist Society member Asian Indian member Sonam Yeshe used his computer skills to commit Fraud. He outlined a scheme they could use to try to get Elmore kicked off You Tube.

Dr. Carter G. Woodson father of Black History wrote “Mis-education of the Negro”. Dr. Woodson said Blacks were being “Culturally Indoctrinated” rather than educated. Elmore calls Black Buddhist who deny Black Buddhist history Mis-educated Negroes.

Anthony Amp Elmore a five time World Karate/Kickboxing Champion, community activist and Buddhist of 50 years tells his story of Black on Black Buddhist Racism

If you take dung and then carve this into the image of a woman, a heavenly goddess, or a Buddha, when it is burned, it would still give off no other fragrance but the stink of dung”

— Nichiren Shonin 13th Century Japanese Black Buddhist Sage

MEMPHIS, TN, UNITED STATES, September 20, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Anthony “Amp” Elmore a 5 time World Karate/Kickboxing Champion, Community activist and a 50 year practicing Buddhist tells the story of the Black Buddhist Society Un-Enlighten Buddhist who practice Black on Black Racism. Elmore explains that this story is like the outdated 1970’s Chinese Kung-fu movies whereas the story includes a Black man who calls himself “Brother on the Path” leaves the Ghetto world of America and becomes a Buddhist Monk who roams the mountains of Tibet and Cambodia unclothed with only a robe and a bald head.

There is also the story of a bald headed Buddhist Black woman by name of Myokei Shonin. Myokei Caine-Barrett is the first woman of African-Japanese descent, and the only Western woman, to be ordained as a priest in the Nichiren Order. She was featured in the CNN premier “Black in America” in a story called “Finding refuge in Buddhism.”

Elmore was looking to join the Nichiren Shu sect under not Bishop Myokei Caine-Barrett whereas he attended meetings in Memphis. On Thanksgiving day 2013 Elmore asked Myokei Shonin and leaders of Nichiren Shu via a web posting to define their policy regarding Black people in that Elmore wanted to call the group "Memphis Black Buddhist." Myokei Cain-Barrett not only objected to the term Black, Elmore was informed that he was no longer welcome at Nichiren Shu meetings. In 2013 America was experiencing a Black President and the Birth of "Black Lives Matter" Myokei Shonin a Black Buddhist Priest objecting to the term Black was certainly not Buddhist wisdom, but a "Negro Mentality."

Nichiren Shonin the 13th Century Japanese Black Buddhist Sage wrote in his writings called the Gosho or Nichiren Buddhist writings called “Roots of Good Fortune” The Gosho Reads: “Suppose one dries dung, breaks it up, passes it through a sieve, and forms it to resemble a block of sandalwood. Even if one were to then carve this into the image of a woman, a heavenly goddess, or a Buddha, when it is burned, it would still give off no other fragrance but the stink of dung.”

Soul Singer James Brown Brown had a song called "open up the door its too Funky in here." Elmore an Independent Black Buddhist had an association with the "Facebook Black Buddhist Society." Without notice the group influenced by Myokei Shonin shut the door on Elmore. With no warning the group shut Elmore out of the group. In the words of the Black Community the group "Got Funky with Elmore.

No matter how the Facebook Black Buddhism Society will try to twist or shape facts or give a reason why the group brazenly expelled Anthony “Amp” Elmore from their closed group it gives off no fragrance but “The Stink of dung.”
Anthony “Amp” who practice the Buddhist teachings of the Lotus Sutra explains that it is written that the Lotus Sutra is “Like a “good Physician that can change poison into medicine.”
Elmore took the Facebook Black Buddhist Society obstacle and turned it into in opportunity to write, produce, direct, edit and narrate a video titled “Black Buddhist Negroes.” Elmore’s lecture was inspired by the Father of African American history Dr. Carter G. Woodson’s 1933 book “The Mis-education of the Negro,” Dr. Woodson writes in the book that Blacks of his day were being “Culturally Indoctrinated” rather than educated.

Elmore explains that Mahayana Buddhist is the time in history where all Black Buddhist history, culture and language was extricated from the Buddhist religion. Elmore explains in his lectures that the Buddha Shakyamuni taught the precept that Buddhism should be taught according to the customs of the region. Elmore explains that Buddhism did not reach China until over 1000 years after the Buddha’s death. It was another 400 years before Buddhism made it to China.

Elmore notes that at the time of the Afro-Greek writer homer India was known as “Eastern Ethiopia.” Archaeology, anthropology, Genetic Science, Literary Science and Linguistic all prove not only that the Buddha was Black, also the four Black Great Civilizations practice Buddhism, Indus Valley, Nubia, Egyptian and Ethiopians practiced Buddhism.
Anthony “Amp” Elmore is the lecturer who speaks and lectures about Buddhism in a Black language. Elmore explains if I write about Buddhist there would be little interest in the Black Community. Elmore notes because I am writing about “Black Buddhist Negroes” there is a tremendous interest. Black people left Negroes back in the early 1970’s. There are still many Negroes around. Elmore explains that most Black Buddhist who are trained in Buddhism by Asians and Whites are the epitome of a Negro Mentality in that they are "Culturally Indoctrinate rather than being educated.

Elmore explains that "Black Buddhist Negroes are not only "Unenlightened" they are also some " Scary Negroes." Elmore notes we hold truths to be "Self-evident." Elmore notes that in our entire world there is not a Black man who is honored in the Black community as a Buddhist. Elmore notes we are going to raise great Buddhist leaders.

Elmore explains we got Asian Buddhist Racist, White Racist and Black Buddhist Negroes to contend with. There is a Bald Head Myokei shonin a fraud representing Black Buddhist. There is brother on the path on a mountain in Thailand. There is a Sonam Yeshe all the way India working against Black causes. Above is a conspiratorial document whereas Brother on the Path, Myokei Shonin and an Indian running a scheme to have Elmore removed from Facebook.

In Elmore video he ask the question about "Black Buddhist Negroes." Black American Society have never seen Black Buddhist Negroes. A Black Buddhist Negroe foreign to most Black people. Anthony "Amp" Elmore has the answer to Black Buddhist Negroe. The answer is axomatic: A Black Buddhist Negroed we see today is only a Negroed with a bald head and a Robe.
