National Car Rental victim and FICO Prof David Howe welcomes tortfeasor’s counsel as official court orders process with law enforcement in Fort Myers & St Louis

I’m hopeful the enormous amount of time and money that I’ve invested over the past 18 months pursuing justice will result in positive and desperately needed changes”

— David Howe, National Car Rental victim and America's child ID guardian

FORT MYERS , FLORIDA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, May 1, 2018 / — SubscriberWise, the nation’s largest issuing CRA for the communications industry and the leading protector of children victimized by identity fraud, announced today the 'Notice of Appearance' by Tortfeasor and Defendant Enterprise Holdings, Inc. and its counsel of record from the law firm of Rissman, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue, McLain & Mangan, P.A., in the Circuit/County Court of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit in and for Lee County, Florida.

The appearance follows a voluntary dismissal without prejudice from the United States District Court for the Florida Middle District, Fort Myers, FL (Case 2:18CV218): .

According to the nationwide issuing CRA and company founder David Howe, the dismissal is a direct indictment on federal lawmakers – Senate and House Democrats and Republicans – who have effectively engaged in obstruction of constitutionally guaranteed due process by denying victims their day in adequate courts of jurisdiction through predatory and one-sided ‘forced arbitration’ clauses.

“I look forward to meeting with the Tortfeasor’s counsel,” said David Howe, National Car Rental crime victim. “I’m hopeful the enormous amount of time and money that I’ve invested over the past 18 months pursuing justice will result in positive and desperately needed changes for the car rental industry. To be sure, I have a mountain of evidence including admissions obtained from the official Lee Port Authority police report, National Car Rental management whistleblower findings that exposed ‘behind the scenes’ shocking evidence at several of Enterprise Holdings office locations in and around the state of Florida, recorded audio, and photographic evidence that I’m eager to proclaim to tortfeasor’s counsel and the court.

“My goal is straightforward and specific,” continued Howe. “It’s to give a voice to the voiceless. It’s to advocate for a cousin in Hagerstown, Maryland, who was recently impacted by a very similar ‘ding and dent’ incident. It’s to alert lawmakers about the outrageous abuses imparted with impunity on citizens and visitors alike.

Toronto Lyric Opera Centre (TLOC) to perform Mozart's Così fan tutte on Sunday, May 6, 2018 @ 7:00pm – Trinity-St. Pauls, 427 Bloor St West, Toronto

Undergraduate student driven opera, theatre and dance companies like the TLOC have become standing fixtures at major universities like Harvard, Northwestern and McGill”

— Jacob Feldman, Founder & Artistic Director

TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, May 1, 2018 / — The first production of Toronto's newest opera company, the Toronto Lyric Opera Centre (TLOC), will be Mozart's Così fan tutte on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Trinity St Pauls at 7:00 pm; conducted by Maestro David Bowser. The lead roles will be performed by University of Toronto Faculty of Music undergraduate students Jacob Feldman, baritone, Korin Thomas-Smith, baritone, Danielle Nicholson, mezzo-soprano, Martina Myskohlid, soprano and joined by alumnus, Gwenna Fairchild-Taylor, soprano and Canadian Opera Company Ensemble graduate, Jean-Phillipe Lazure, tenor. The 24-piece orchestra will consist of University of Toronto (UofT) Faculty of Music students together with members of the Toronto Mozart Players. The opera is directed by UofT Operatic Directing Diploma alumnus David Ambrose. Tickets are available here.

Mozart's opera, Così fan tutte, is an emotional rollercoaster for the performers on stage and a knee-slapping good time for serious opera goers and newcomers to opera alike. This new production brings the timeless story of spouse-swapping to life by combining Mozart's masterpiece with a new English narration. The singing will be in the original Italian with English surtitles.

This inaugural production of the TLOC comes on the heels of a highly successful concert curated and performed by Faculty of Music students in the spring of 2017 which was generously funded by the Faculty of Music Undergraduate Association (FMUA). The FMUA's Special Projects Fund is a monetary award granting organization that undergraduate students can apply to for financial assistance for extra-curricular activities meant to enhance their professional development and student experience.

Rebekah Tam, current president of the FMUA said "we are very grateful to our peer and colleague, Jacob Feldman, who has taken the initiative to form the TLOC. Feldman's work as a former executive on the FMUA and as a board member on the University of Toronto Student's Union has pioneered many projects for the benefit of our students and has culminated as the founding Artistic Director of TLOC. His contribution to student government will leave a lasting positive enhancement to the overall student experience at our premier music faculty."

Jacob Feldman, founding Artistic Director of the TLOC has said that he is "proud and grateful to have played a role in the creation of a student-lead opera company at [his] alma mater." Feldman also commented; "Undergraduate student driven opera, theatre and dance companies like the TLOC have become standing fixtures at major universities like Harvard, Northwestern and McGill. My hope is that future leaders of the TLOC will have as positive of an experience as I have been to so fortunate to have." Feldman is currently completing his undergraduate degree at the Faculty of Music in the Opera Undergraduate Program.

The University of Toronto's Faculty of Music hosts hundreds of public events, recitals, master classes and two mainstage operas every year. The UofT Faculty of Music's student body comprises some of Canada's brightest emerging classical singers and musicians, many of whom frequently perform in Toronto's vibrant classical musical scene. These students are consistently highly regarded and sought after by graduate music schools across Canada, the USA and Europe. Many undergraduates have won or placed as finalists in international competitions and have gone on to careers at the highest levels of performance nationally and internationally. Annually, undergraduate students spend their summers in residencies and fellowships at highly competitive music festivals to enhance their skills under many of the world's top performers and tutors. To find a UofT student at Tanglewood, the Aspen Summer Music Festival and School, the Music Academy of the West, the Ravinia Festival, and the Chataqua Festival, to name a few, is certainly common place.

ShotStop Develops Bulletproof Backpack Insert that Stops the Infamous AR-15

Level III bulletproof backpack insert

ballistic backpack insert

advanced body armor

A little more than 2 months after the school shooting in Parkland, FL, ShotStop® Ballistics introduces 2 new products that would have saved lives that day.

“There are other protective inserts out there. But there’s nothing like our new BallisticBoard inserts. Absolutely nothing!” ”

— Jason Henkel, ShotStop Director of Operations

STOW, OHIO, UNITED STATES, May 1, 2018 / — Following the February 2018 school shooting in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 dead, bulletproof backpacks and backpack inserts received a lot of attention across the country. But, the question that always came up was, “Will it stop an AR-15?” (The gun used in the Parkland shooting and in most mass shootings in recent history.) And, at the time, the answer was almost always, “No.”

“Nearly every time we talked with someone – whether it was a concerned parent or a news reporter – the question about AR-15 came up,” said Jason Henkel, Director of Operations at ShotStop® Ballistics in Stow, Ohio. “It really bothered us that there wasn’t a truly lightweight option out there that would defeat a shot fired from an AR-15 or AK-47.”

ShotStop immediately began to focus on developing a solution that would ultimately keep kids safer in school, in public places, and in other areas where a potential threat may arise. And, in just over two months ShotStop has developed the lightest, thinnest, and strongest bulletproof backpack insert in the world.

Under Two Pounds and a Half-Inch Thick…and Stops AR-15
ShotStop is always driven to do more than what’s expected, and its new BallisticBoard backpack insert is no different. Utilizing ShotStop's patented Duritium® technology, it is the world’s first rigid bulletproof backpack insert that stops the AR-15 and AK-47, weighs less than two pounds, and is around a half-inch thick. It's called the SSB-III-RA and retails for $299-349.

“There are other protective inserts out there,” explained Henkel. “But there’s nothing like our new BallisticBoard inserts. Absolutely nothing!”

To ensure access to as many people as possible, ShotStop also developed a slightly heavier version called the SSB-III-RA2, which weighs a little more than 3.5 pounds and is just 0.9 inches thick. The RA2 comes in around $200. At that price, it's the least expensive backpack insert under 4 pounds.

Civilian Body Armor Becomes “Normal”
While 100 percent of parents would say they would rather not send their child to school with a bulletproof backpack, that same 100 percent would absolutely agree that they would do just about anything to keep their children safe – at school or wherever they may be.

In the wake of the shooting at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the idea of putting a bulletproof insert into a student’s backpack became commonplace as parents scrambled to respond to concerns about school safety. A few days after the Parkland shooting, one father in Ohio had decided to place a ShotStop soft bulletproof insert into his son’s backpack, and the next day a would-be-shooter happened to walk into Jackson Township High School where his boy attends. Luckily the threat was avoided that day, but parents began to have second thoughts about the safety of their kids in schools.

Several New Developments in School Safety

– Several school districts have reached out to ShotStop and are considering purchasing the backpack inserts as a school asset to assign out to students at the beginning of the school year for return at the end of the year.
– ShotStop is in talks with a school safety-consulting group about how it can use ShotStop’s BallisticBoard material to convert standard school equipment – desks, bookshelves, doors – into bulletproof items to use as cover in an active shooter situation.
– BallisticBoard inserts also fit in computer bags and purses, not just in backpacks.

“The goal at ShotStop has always been to save more lives,” said Henkel. “And while we didn’t start out thinking we’d be making bulletproof backpack inserts, the unfortunate truth in today’s world is that a product like this is needed and parents are asking for it.”

Cindy Byrd of Image Potential to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

WASHINGTON, ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES, May 1, 2018 / — The old adage in business that we have to "check our emotions at the door" is a myth. We bring our whole self to the workplace, which requires a more holistic approach to leadership and employee development. Those organizations who understand the value of employee development, who pay attention and take care of the people serving their customers, will enjoy lasting success.

Cindy Byrd is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses grow and succeed, and she has devoted her lifelong learning and work to discover the best ways to help organizations apply a more thoughtful, holistic approach not only to employee development, but also to their business/employer brand and organizational development.

Byrd is the founder of Image Potential, where she provides unique, interactive learning opportunities that encourage self-awareness, reflective thinking, and mindfulness in support of her vision: a world where people are more thoughtful and respectful about their decisions, choices, and actions and more mindful of how they’re communicating and interacting with others. Image Potential’s services focus on leadership and management development, interpersonal communication, personal and business branding, professional etiquette and strategic marketing.

“I have a true passion for improving quality of life, especially in the workplace, because people spend most of their time at work. There’s a lot of unnecessary and unwarranted stress and strife in the workplace that I believe stems from incivility, distractedness, underdeveloped leadership, and a lack of critical thinking,” says Byrd. “One of the best ways to improve our quality of life is to improve our quality of thinking. That's why I infuse a lot of techniques into my teaching and consulting to help people evaluate their thinking and increase mindfulness. I help them gain powerful insight about their authenticity, how they're showing up and what's driving them.”

“It can be easy to blame someone or something for your situation, says Byrd; however, the only person responsible for your well-being and happiness is you, which is why I love empowering people. I love creating learning opportunities that teach people to be more conscious, intentional and realize how much is in their control.” Byrd does this by skillfully integrating neuroscience, mindfulness practice, and emotional intelligence into her work and teaching.

Byrd works with employees to build resilience and adaptability, as well as with leaders and managers to create better workplace environments where people can thrive and bring their best selves. She draws on her unique ability to curate and blend the appropriate combination of learning opportunities based on her client’s desired outcomes.

“I want to help individuals within businesses and the businesses themselves lead and communicate with greater insight to, in turn, have more impact. Creating exceptional employee experiences leads to exceptional customer experiences and business success,” says Byrd. “There’s no trade-off. I believe business efficiency and employee engagement can work in harmony. That's why I use a holistic approach that educates and empowers the business and the employee.”

Graduate of University of Management and Technology Receives DEAC Famous Alumni Award

Dr. Geoffrey Webster

UMT graduates, families and friends

2018 Top Online PM Master’s Program

I was very impressed with the University of Management and Technology having the only doctorate degree program globally accredited by the Project Management Institute among DEAC accredited schools”

— Dr. Geoffrey Webster

ROSSLYN, ARLINGTON, VA, May 1, 2018 / — Dr. Geoffrey Webster earned his DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) from the University of Management and Technology (UMT) in 2017. On 24 April, 2018, he was one of a number of recipients of DEAC’s Famous Alumni Award during the 92th Distance Education Accrediting Commission’s Annual Conference. Each year, Outstanding Graduates and Famous Alumni receive recognition in the distance education community at the annual conference.

Webster has a distinguished background in implementing financial software solutions at major corporations. He has worked in this capacity at top companies, including Procter and Gamble,, ING, and Fidelity.

Webster’s education journey has required patience, persistence, and hard work. He earned a BS in Computer Science with financial support from Procter and Gamble during his employment there. While working full time, and meeting family commitments, he next earned the MBA. Both these degrees were earned at brick and mortar institutions. Webster’s long-held desire to earn a doctorate caused him to recognize that this dream could only be realized by taking advantage of the flexibility afforded him through distance education. After two years of looking into an array of online programs offering doctorates in project management, he settled on studying at the University of Management and Technology.

Within a year of graduating with the DBA, Webster got three IT management articles published in professional journals. At this time, he made a momentous decision: with the DBA in hand, he decided that he would set out on his own by establishing a consulting firm. Using business contacts made during his years as an IT professional, coupled with the knowledge he gained both at school and through hands-on business experience, Webster launched his new business by establishing innovative strategic partnerships to attract business. His contributions to the new alliances have positioned him to be a prime business development resource and lead program manager for large corporations with billions of dollars revenue.

Since his graduation, Webster has supported non-profits pro bono, coached executives of various types of firms to be more effective in running their businesses, and performed assessments on individuals helping them to have a better understanding of how they operate in order to improve their overall ability to influence favorable outcomes. Geoffrey’s research has been published by three prestigious organizations: Scrum Alliance, Project Management Institute, and the American Society for Quality.

Webster notes that his experience working through UMT’s online DBA program benefited him substantially. He points out that the material he needed to master was difficult and challenging, but that the hard work he dedicated to his studies paid off. "After investigating online doctoral programs extensively, I was very impressed with the University of Management and Technology having the only doctorate degree program globally accredited by the Project Management Institute among DEAC accredited schools. From this, I knew their program along with their reputation of being a developer of talent would guide me to making a valuable contribution to society.”

New York Corporate Whistleblower Center Now Urges MDs or Employees with Proof a Hospice Provider Is Billing Medicare For People in New York Who Are Not Dying to Call About Potential Rewards

If you know about a hospice provider anywhere in New York State that is billing Medicare for patients who are not dying, please call us at 866-714-6466. The whistleblower rewards can be substantial.”

— New York Corporate Whistleblower Center

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, May 1, 2018 / — According to the New York Corporate Whistleblower Center, "In our opinion one of the easiest types of whistleblower rewards for an individual involves a hospice company billing Medicare for end of life medical services for people who are not dying. If you are a medical doctor or an employee of a firm that is providing hospice services and you can prove the healthcare company is billing Medicare for patients who are not dying the rewards can be significant, and we would like to talk to you anytime at 866-714-6466.

"Some of the highest Medicare payments relate to individuals receiving end of life-hospice care. If you possess proof of a healthcare company in New York is gouging Medicare with bills for end of life care for people who are not dying, please call us anytime." http://NewYork.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

On October 30th, 2017, the Department of Justice announced that one of the nation's largest hospice providers has agreed to pay $75 million to resolve a government lawsuit alleging that defendants violated the False Claims Act (FCA) by submitting false claims for hospice services to Medicare. The settlement resolves allegations that between 2002 and 2013 the hospice provider knowingly submitted or caused to be submitted false claims to Medicare for services to hospice patients who were not terminally ill. While the whistleblower reward has not yet been announced it is anticipated to be in the millions of dollars.

The New York Corporate Whistleblower Center, "We believe there are probably more than a few rouge hospice providers in New York State. New York State has a population of nearly 20 million people. Because Medicare payments for hospice services are so significant we suppose some healthcare companies feel like it is worth the gamble to recruit patients who are not dying.

“If you know about a hospice provider anywhere in New York State that is billing Medicare for patients who are not dying, please call us at 866-714-6466. The whistleblower rewards can be substantial for this type of information as we would like to discuss. Why sit on a potentially winning lotto ticket without ever knowing what it might have been worth?" http://NewYork.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Simple rules for a whistleblower from the Corporate Whistleblower Center: Do not go to the government first if you are a potential whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing. The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “Major whistleblowers frequently go to the government thinking they will help. It’s a huge mistake. Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower’s information could destroy any prospect for a reward. Do not try to force a company/employer or individual to come clean about significant Medicare fraud, overbilling the federal government for services never rendered, multi-million-dollar state or federal tax evasion, or a New York based company falsely claiming to be a minority owned business to get preferential treatment on federal or state projects. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it’s sufficient, we will help you with a focus on you getting rewarded.” http://CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Unlike any group in the US the Corporate Whistleblower Center can assist a potential whistleblower with packaging or building out their information to potentially increase the reward potential. They will also provide the whistleblower with access to some of the most skilled whistleblower attorneys in the nation. For more information a possible whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing anywhere in New York State can contact the Whistleblower Center at 866-714-6466 or contact them via their website at http://NewYork.CorporateWhistleBlower.Com.

Protests Erupt as Feds Consider Leasing Land in Northwest New Mexico

Federal Land Managers Considering Leasing Land for Oil and Gas Development

SCOTTSDALE, AZ, USA, May 1, 2018 / — For Immediate Release

Brooks Realty & Advisory Group

Protests Erupt as Feds Consider Leasing Land in Northwest New Mexico
Federal Land Managers Considering Leasing Land for Oil and Gas Development

Scottsdale, AZ: The Bureau of Land Management has received 120 protests that oppose the sale of parcels of land in Northwest New Mexico for oil and gas development. Opponents of the deal state that the land is too close to areas that are considered culturally and historically important to tribal communities, including areas around the greater Chaco area. The Bureau of Land Management is currently reviewing these protests to determine whether they will affect the deal. Yet, previous protests of this kind have been unsuccessful when it comes to petitioning the federal government’s efforts to set aside areas of the Chaco region.

Chaco park in Northwest New Mexico is known for its archeological remnants, including a range of massive stone structures, kivas, and other artifacts that have been used in religious or ritualistic events of the past. The All Pueblo Council of Governors, representing 20 Native America communities, was one of the largest organizations to protest the deal, submitting a protest in early January. The group states that the federal government is abusing preservation laws that are meant to protect historic and cultural properties. Yet, oil and gas developers have pledged to work on the land in a way that will not disrupt the area’s cultural and historic value. In years past, the Bureau of Land Management has set a 10-mile buffer zone around Chaco Park, preserving the land for public and academic use. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is also working to update the department’s resource management plan as to how to best guide energy development throughout the region.

New Mexico is home to a large share of public land, including those with historic and cultural value to tribal communities. The state and federal government will need to work together in deciding how to best appropriate these lands. While Brooks Realty & Advisory Group remains impartial, these developments may determine the fate of the rest of the state’s public lands. As a leading ranchland property developer in the state, Brooks Realty & Advisory Group will be watching for the latest developments as this story continues to evolve.
